FURTHER DISCUSSIONS BY UNIT CAC's). ALL

motion to begin the 13 December 2003 meeting of the New York Wing’s Cadet

Task Force
Reports:
CLS:
a. Task force will be headed by C/1Lt Paquette with the assistance of the whole council
b. The wing will be unable to run the activity this summer as hoped
c. The activity needs a location (possibly Stratton ANGB)
d. There is a need for Senior and Cadet instructors
e. The current target date for the activity is the summer of 2005
NCOS: No current task force, but can be planned by the CLS task force.
Follow Up on Task
Force Reports:
a. CAC needs to work out the application procedure for CLS/ NCOS
b. The chairman requested that group
representatives poll their groups for interest
c. Development of the class
curriculum needs to be started

1. Cadet Solo Flight School Task Force:
a. To be held at Griffis Airport
b. Training would be provided to give a cadet their solo wings
c. Create a committee to examine interest in the groups
d. The CAC needs to explore possible funding from outside
sources
e. The Wing Commander has directed the CAC to create a
possible plan for action

Reading List:
a. C/Maj Lopez raised the issue of a
suggested wing reading list, citing its benefits
b. The reading of certain leadership and military related
books could be used as a requirement for staff positions, promotions etc.
2. Pictures:
a. Capt Pruitt raised the issue of collecting pictures of
CAC members and providing pictures in association with the group reports.
b. This would benefit recruiting and allow for the building
of websites etc
Closing:
The motion to adjourn the 13 December
2003 NYWG CAC meeting was made by H. Matthew Groff, C/1Lt, CAP and seconded by Jonathan
Fitch, C/Maj, CAP at 1403 hrs. The
motion was unanimously passed.
