NY Wing 1991 Drill Team

The 1991 Drill team was the first team put forward from the newly consolidated New York City group. This realignment of groups within the wing combined the Bronx and Manhattan groups into one. There was much hostility among the team members at first, because of decades of group pride and rivalry. They soon overcame their difficulties and through time-honored training methods (which had netted many past NCC championships), they persevered with their own NCC title. This team barely lost the following year to eventual NCC champions, New Jersey Wing. This team was part of the unprecedented string of 7 Northeast Region victories from 1988 to 1992. This string of victories helped prompt major changes in the rules of national competition.
